Not Medical Advice
All content in the Service is for general information, education and motivation only. This includes nutrition plans, calorie and macro targets, recipes, meal suggestions, habit programs, walking and activity goals, sleep insights, progress reports, AI coaching responses, articles and community posts.
Nothing in the Service is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or medical condition. Content is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from a physician, registered dietitian, pharmacist or other qualified healthcare provider.
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read, heard or received through the Service.
No Doctor–Patient Relationship
Using the Service does not create a doctor–patient, dietitian–client, therapist–client or any other healthcare-provider relationship between you and Viivaa, our staff, coaches, contributors or partners.
Unless a person is expressly identified as a licensed healthcare professional acting in that capacity, no one providing content or coaching through the Service is acting as your healthcare provider. Even where a professional contributes content, that content is general in nature and is not individualized medical advice.
Consult Your Doctor Before You Start
Talk to your doctor or another qualified healthcare provider before starting any new diet, nutrition plan, fasting approach, exercise or walking program, or other lifestyle change through the Service. This is especially important if you:
- are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding;
- are under 18 years of age;
- have, or have had, an eating disorder or disordered eating;
- have diabetes, heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, a thyroid condition, or any other chronic condition;
- take prescription medication, including GLP-1 receptor agonists, insulin, blood thinners or blood-pressure medication;
- have had bariatric or other recent surgery;
- have a physical injury, disability, joint problem or mobility limitation; or
- have food allergies, intolerances or a medically prescribed diet.
Stop any activity and seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, severe pain, or any other unusual or concerning symptoms.
Nutrition, Recipes & Weight Management
Calorie targets, macronutrient goals, meal plans, recipes and weight projections in the Service are estimates. They are generated from general formulas and the information you provide, and may not be accurate or suitable for you.
- Individual needs vary based on age, sex, genetics, health status, medications and activity level.
- Nutritional values for foods and recipes come from databases, manufacturers and user entries, and may contain errors. Always check product labels, especially for allergens.
- Recipes are not tested for every allergy or dietary restriction. You are responsible for checking ingredients against your own needs.
- Results vary from person to person. Testimonials, before-and-after stories and example outcomes are not typical or guaranteed results.
- Rapid or extreme weight loss can be harmful. We do not recommend very-low-calorie diets without medical supervision.
If you have, or think you may have, an eating disorder, please do not use calorie or weight tracking features without the guidance of a healthcare professional. In the US, you can reach the ANAD Helpline for support.
AI Coaching & Automated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate coaching messages, suggestions, meal ideas, summaries and answers to your questions. AI coaching is not a doctor, dietitian, nurse, therapist or any other licensed professional.
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or inappropriate for your situation, even when it sounds confident.
- The AI does not know your full medical history and cannot examine you, order tests or monitor your condition.
- Do not use AI coaching to make decisions about medication, dosing, symptoms, diagnoses or treatment.
- Do not rely on AI coaching in an emergency or for urgent health concerns.
You should independently verify any health-related information from the AI with a qualified healthcare provider before acting on it.
GLP-1 Medications & Other Prescription Treatments
Viivaa offers features designed to support people who use GLP-1 receptor agonist medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide), including tracking, nutrition guidance, reminders and educational content. These features are for general support and organization only.
- Viivaa does not prescribe, sell, dispense, supply or recommend any medication, and does not assess whether any medication is right for you.
- Decisions about starting, stopping, changing the dose of, or combining any medication must be made only with your prescribing healthcare provider.
- Medication reminders and dose logs are a convenience tool only. You remain responsible for taking your medication as prescribed. Do not rely solely on the Service for reminders.
- Educational content about GLP-1 medications, side effects, protein intake, hydration or muscle preservation is general and may not reflect your prescriber’s instructions. Your prescriber’s instructions always take priority.
- Report side effects, such as persistent nausea, vomiting, severe abdominal pain, signs of dehydration or low blood sugar, to your healthcare provider promptly. Seek urgent care for severe symptoms.
Viivaa is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any pharmaceutical manufacturer unless expressly stated. Any medication names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Walking, Physical Activity & Sleep
Walking goals, step targets, activity suggestions and sleep insights are general wellness guidance. Physical activity carries an inherent risk of injury. By following any activity suggestion, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk.
Sleep features are not designed to detect, diagnose or monitor sleep disorders such as sleep apnea or insomnia. If you have ongoing sleep problems, talk to a healthcare provider.
Tracking Data & Connected Devices
The Service may display data you enter manually or import from third-party apps and devices (such as Apple Health, Google Health Connect, smart scales or wearables). This data may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate.
Viivaa is not a medical device. The Service has not been evaluated, cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency, the UK MHRA or any other regulatory authority for medical use. Do not use it to monitor a medical condition or make clinical decisions.
Community & User-Generated Content
The Viivaa community lets members share experiences, tips and encouragement. Posts reflect the personal views and experiences of individual members, not Viivaa. We do not verify the accuracy of user content, and what worked for another member may not be safe or appropriate for you.
Never share or follow advice about medication doses, supplements or treatments from other members. Please report harmful or misleading health content using the in-app reporting tools.
Mental Health & Emergencies
The Service is not a crisis or emergency service and is not monitored in real time.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number immediately (for example, 911 in the US, 112 in the EU, or 999 in the UK). If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, contact a crisis line right away (for example, call or text 988 in the US) or go to your nearest emergency department.
Supplements, Products & Third-Party Links
Any mention of foods, supplements, products, services or third-party websites is for information only and is not an endorsement. Dietary supplements can interact with medications, including GLP-1 medications. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before taking any supplement. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of third-party websites or products.
Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability
You are solely responsible for your health decisions and for how you use the information and features in the Service. You use the Service at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Viivaa and its officers, employees, coaches, contributors and partners are not liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its content. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind about accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular health purpose. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited. Nothing in this Disclaimer affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
